Planning for the future doesn’t have to be scary. We’re here to help.
We provide long-term care insurance consulting and brokerage services to individuals and small businesses. If you’re in the early stages of long-term care planning, we can help you select the best coverage for your needs. If you already have long-term care coverage, we can provide an assessment to help you understand how to get the most out of your benefits.
What is long-term care?
It is defined as the assistance or supervision that a person who is physically or cognitively impaired needs to get through the day. With some exceptions for the indigent, no federal or state program will pay for custodial assistance for an extended period of time in your home, where most people would like to age.
Medicare and health insurance do not pay for long term care. They may pay for short-term care, but only if it is skilled and rehabilitative in nature.
Why do I need a long-term care plan?
You may not need care in the future. However, if you do, your family and retirement portfolio can be affected. You can create a plan that will help protect the well-being of your spouse and children. Taking into consideration the following:
What would it cost to sell your qualified funds or low-cost-based investments?
What if your investments needed to be sold in a down market?
Could you sell your assets, and if so, would you incur a loss?
Medicaid is not normally a viable funding source to pay for care in the community. Medicaid like Medicare, it is primarily a health insurance program, but unlike Medicare, it is means tested. It covers custodial care primarily only in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
The Veterans Administration does offer some long-term care services in some locations. However, access is not universal. They consider all income, assets, medical expenses, age, life expectancy, and past estate planning to determine eligibility and applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If you develop an illness or condition that lasts for an extended period, it could threaten the financial security of your surviving spouse, children, and any others who may depend on you financially.
Long-term care planning provides peace of mind that:
1. Your family members will be able to hire professional care.
2. Your retirement portfolio remains intact.
What Clients Are Saying

“I highly recommend working with Tracy Meade. My husband and I had let the years go by without planning for our long-term care. We were too intimidated by the products and the process. I met with Tracy, and she made it easy to understand for two people who don’t know much about insurance, and long-term care in particular. She proposed a plan personalized to us (our needs and budget), and we went forward. We appreciate Tracy’s immense knowledge, her professionalism, accessibility and–most importantly–her personal care. She really cares about us and wants us to be protected no matter what life brings. This human element is what is missing from most insurance experiences. With Tracy, you’ll get the benefit of a relationship, not a transaction.”

“My wife, Anna, and I consulted Tracy’s advice regarding our long-term health care planning and policy. We found her to be very knowledgeable in this area and eminently familiar with essentially all aspects of the policy. She listened carefully to our concerns and was eager to share her advice causing us to feel that she firmly had clients’ best interests in mind. Importantly, when she was unable to answer some of our questions, she showed commendable facility in knowing credible on-line sources for locating answers. Moreover, she also guided us in identifying helpful advisors for long-term care management. We highly recommend her services and plan to consult her as we progress further into old age.”

“My friend highly recommended I contact Tracy Meade to review my Long-Term Care Insurance, and I’m very glad I did. Tracy read my policy thoroughly and explained things to me I haven’t been aware of. She also contacted my insurance company with some questions she had. I’m grateful I was able to consult with Tracy, and it gave me peace of mind after my husband’s death. I only regret my husband and I didn’t talk to Tracy before we got our policy. I very much recommend you see Tracy if you intend on getting Long Term Care Insurance. She will help you determine the best options for you.”
